3rd Edition Denon Link

Does anyone out there know if Denon is back engineering the SACD compatible 3rd edition link to the upgraded AVC-A1SE (AVR-5800). The American web site makes reference to the AVR-5803 (AVC-A1SR) being upgradeable but the dealer in Australia says "We are mushrooms down here; we don't get told any thing."

I have the Denon A1SE (upgraded) and according to Denon Germany the upgrade to A1SRA spec for the A1SR (PLIIx, HDCD and Denon Link 3) is not technically possible on the already upgraded A1SE.
