3lcd vs. dlp

anybody got comments on which is better?

sony of course says that their 3lcd produces better color quality ...
samsung claims that their dlp trumps the sony 3lcd however you look at it (meaning they have this booklet that has about 7 points that says theirs is better)

Both formats have hits and misses for quality that are real. But, in the end, I think it is really personal preference. For years DLP had a clearly superior image, but LCD has made incredible strides in recent years and has some new models that are very close in many ways to DLP. I've seen some of the new Sonys and I think their colors are better than DLP, plus no rainbows, no SDE, no blurring that I can see. Just a slightly better overall image.

But, still, really close.

Of course theres SXRD (LCoS) as well.

i hate these sales guys ... they're extremely good at making you doubt decisions.

i was already decided with the 3lcd, but the sammy sales guy had all this: 549 billion colors, contrast, brightness (all of which sony never publishes)
