Alright, the boss just got me a couple of pairs of 3d glasses that are compatible with my panny, but I was dissapointed to see that my cambridge 650bd does not support 3d. I guess when I bought it my main concern is that it had a great analog section and can play 2d blu rays well. It delivers well on both of those fronts. I obviouslt am wrong in my thinking that a video signal is a video signal. Looking at cambridge's firmware updates, nothing seems to deliver 3d support.
My marantz av7005 preamp seems to be hdmi 1.4a 3D compatible from what I am reading.
Please suggest me something appropriate for my gear. Most important to me are both 3d picture quality and sound quality (although i do not think i need something with a great dac as i already have that in the 650bd, and ill be feeding audio to preamp over hdmi never using the dac).
Thia is getting to be an expensive forray into 3d for something I am not even sure I will like. No where has a vt50 around here that I can go to and give it a test drive to see if the ends justify the means. If nothing else, you may see a blu ray player and 2 pairs of glasses on ebay soon. lols.
