3 way tower speaker, sub doesn't work but the other drivers do

So I recently bought a set of infinity overture 2 speakers and when I hooked them up they sounded perfectly fine, except they were a little quiet compared to my other speakers (any input on that too would be great). Both towers have powered sub woofers built into the bottom of them, along with 2 mid range drivers and a tweeter. The issue here is in the left speaker only. After about an hour of use, the sub woofer cut out. I changed the bass volume and it worked again for another hour or so and then cut out, and it's staying that way. What gets me is the mid range drivers and tweeter all still work fine so the amp inside the board most likely isn't bad. I read that it could very well be the voice coil inside of the woofer, but there are 2 6 inch drivers on each tower, so is it possible that both of them just went bad at once? Or is there another piece on the board that I should be checking? Any help is appreciated.

One piece I forgot to mention. The sub does click when you plug it in like a normal sub so I know there is power going to it. But both bass drivers, when idle, make this extremely quiet crackle. It's kind of intermittent rather than constant, and I have to put my ear up to the drivers to hear it, but it's there.

Sounds like the amps may be going out or the drivers themselves are both dying. I'd guess failing caps in the amps, which is fairly common. That could give you that intermittent problem. Damaged drivers I would think you'd only hear when they were playing, so that may be less likely.

I'm sure this was discussed before but havent used the search feature yet. Might have been the preludes, but exactly the same premise.

Can you give me an idea of what the caps look like? Are they possible to replace?

Hard to say exactly, but they'll usually be larger (not always, depends on amp) than most of the other board components and if they're failing, they'll be obvious because they are likely leaking fluid onto the PCB, if not even showing signs of "burning" from the fluid.

My sub amp when it died. Caps would be above and to left of the wires enclosed in silicone in first pic :

No, can't see your pics. You can likely post, but they won't show up until you meet some forum criteria. Should be able to externally host them via a photo share site.
