I'm trying to figure the best way to add a small HDTV in my kitchen to my dishnetwork VIP722 DVR
Current setup:
1 VIP722 connected with HDMI to HDTV (TV1) and a SDTV connected via coax and RF modulation (TV2)
My proposed ideas so far.
1. Buy a Slingbox ProHD and Slingcatcher. This would require a network cable pull into my kitchen which I would do myself. Problem with this solution...Expensive
2. Buy an HDMI splitter and run an HDMI cable into the kitchen. This would require an RF remote with blaster to operate the DVR successfully.
3. Pull a run of component and composite RCA's from the DVR location to the kitchen. This option also requires the purchase of an RF remote w/ blaster. This option would only work if the VIP722 outputs HDMI and component simultaneously.
