3 Subs better than 1?

I have an SVS PC-Ultra on the way, along with a Yamaha RX-Z7 :D, and I am wondering what is the best way to integrate it with my existing CWS T500 Towers which each have a 10 powered and 12" passive sub in them. I could daisy chain all 3 together, or split the sub out at the Z7 with 1 to the T500's and 1 to the PC-Ultra. Are there any known issues/drawbacks to this approach? Would it be better to run just the SVS?

My room is acoustically challenging as it is approx 25'x15' with a half wall & staircase on one side that opens downstairs into an open 1st floor. Based on this, I am thinking that I need all the low end I can get, just curious if there is anything I am not aware of with this type of setup.

As you have builtin subs at your mains, I would recommend you place the other subs at the side walls mid-points, if that is an option.
As to connecting them, any way will work, daisy chain, or using a coax Y. Setting the "main" subs to LFE and the side subs to just normal, or do it reversed. Or all to LFE.

Having the other subs at the mid-points of the side walls will give you a much more enveloped bass sound, throughout the entire seating area.
This is how I have my 4 subs connected, with the main subs at the L/R locations, as you have, and the other pair at the mid-points of the two side walls.

The only difference to your setup is my side subs are a matched pair.

Obviously I can't move the integrated subs in the T500's, but I am thinking I will setup the PC-Ultra in a corner behind the main listening area to start with. I think this will create the most enveloping LFE sound. My room layout does not allow for any non ceiling mounted speakers on the sides.

I had the same issue as you. I own an SVS NSD12/2 and if I put the sub up front, bass would lack in the back of the room. If in back, then the front would lack bass. So i bought a pair of DefTech BP7001sc with built in 10" subs and 1,500 watt amp in each tower. I use those as my mains in the front (crossed over at 40Hz) and my SVS in the back of the room gives my great room just fantastic overall bass. It overcomes all the null voids and the DT's help to fill up the front.

I would do the same thing in your situation. I would never place three subs up front because it would overwhelm the front while neglecting the back, although it would give you a 3db increase in sound for each added sub, just adjusting the gain on the sub would do the same thing.
