3.5 mm jack in RCA port

Hi, I am very audio-tech illiterate. I put a 3.5 mm jack into the subwoofer out (RCA) of my speaker because I did not know it is supposed to be for RCA. It did not go all the way in, it only went it about 50%. So, I forced it hard and it went in about 80% and It was even hard to pull it back out. Eventually, I got it back out.

My question is: Did I damage my speaker subwoofer port?

I apologize if I am asking the wrong question or in the wrong place. I do not know who to ask.

Could be, do you have an rca cable to test with? What exactly do you have (brand and model number) and how are you trying to use it?
