3:10 to Yuma

Got the blu ray version in my blockbuster queue, hopefully it will ship out today. This is the first disc I've seen with a 7.1 PCM track, and the movie itself looks really good. I'm very much looking forward to watching this, I will report back with my impressions once I watch it.

Anyone else excited about seeing this?

Not really, probably a rental for me. Pan's Labyrinth is the first 7.1 disc I picked up but I don't have 7.1 right now (I have the cabinets, just need to buy the kits to build them).

I watched this at the theater and really enjoyed it. There aren't to many new westerns that I've liked as much as the old ones, but this is one. I think you will like it.

I really liked Tombstone, especially in DTS, great movie and great sound.

For me, I just cant watch a western starring an aussie and a brit. That's just me.

The original 1957 with Glenn Ford and Van Heflin is a great movie. They show it on AMC now and then.

Mine just came in the mail today and we will watch tonight. I, for one, am excited to see a Western as not many come out these days. I watch Tombstone about once a month, like Glocks said....great movie...great sound. If 3:10 is half as good, I will be happy.

Hopefully 'flix beefs up the BD stock to keep up with the growing demand.

I'm still waiting on mine to come... I have their top plan, and several movies showing as available, but nothing is shipping... I'm getting upset. I emailed them about it and got some supid reply, but what can I do. I know netflix won't be any better when it comes to blu ray discs. I guess I'll just have to sit tight and wait... but I did watch Tombstone the other night, what a kick arse movie.

Watched it last night. It was good but not great, nowhere near Tombstone. PQ was really good, nothing real special about the audio.

I don't really think there will be another western that could beat Tombstone. I hope they release Tombstone on Blu Ray, I would probably buy that.

Yeah, "Tombstone" was the best. I thought "Unforgiven" was better than "Yuma". I thought "Young Guns" was better than "Yuma".

Okay, now that we have GlocksRock's expectations of "Yuma" way DOWN, he might just enjoy it more.

I bet the 7.1 PCM soundtrack is pretty good, though.

I just now realized that "Yuma" is made by LionsGate Films!!!

So that's TWO movies from LionsGate that is in PCM 7.1!!!

I still have pretty good expectations about it, but I have been reading plenty of mixed reviews... I'm sure the sound is quite good, and I'm definitely looking forward to the 7.1 PCM track. I do hope Lionsgate has either stopped using DTS-MA or just put it on hold until more players can decode it.
