Hey.

Can anyone give me some opinions on where I should place my 2x SVS PB-1000 Pro's and my rear speakers 2x Neumi BS5.

I will set my rear channels underneath my TV. Above my Standing desk Computer stand.

I know I will have to test it, but where is a good starting point.

I bought some wall mount stands for all the speakers. I will put the subs on the concrete floor.

EQUIPMENT

CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKER Emotiva Airmotiv C2+ 403.85

AVR / RECIEVER Yamaha RX-V681 7.2 Channel $270

LR SPEAKERS Emotiva Airmotiv B1+ $268.85

SUBWOOFERS SVS PB-1000 Pro x 2 $1,092.50

REAR SPEAKERS NEUMI BS5 $100

An oldie but goodie, the sub crawl is still about the best way I know to find a good spot. At least for one of your subs.

I got kinda lucky and I'm able to make 2 of them work up front with my speakers using room correction and some manual eq'ing. Every room is different, but they're all in charge of where a sub will work best in relation to your seating. The crawl is a way of using physics in your favor.

The term rear surrounds/speakers usually only comes into play in a 7.1 setup, just call them surrounds for 5.1 and use something like the suggestions from Dolby for best placement but they shouldn't be up front near the tv (sorry, started your video but am outside listening to music so its of little use) but seeing as you don't mention surrounds....

Glad that made sense :) Not familiar with your surround speaker brand at all, first I've heard of them. Then again surrounds are generally of low importance in most surround movie situations, perhaps more in surround music presentations.....

I rarely like video reviews on youtube. I prefer sites like Audioholics or Audiosciencereview.com or Erin Hardesty's site (don't have the link handy, but he's a member here as well as audiosciencereview and posts reviews as well).

I just find the z boy super f*cking annoying (let alone buying into one of his recommendations, even if we agree on some)
