2nd zone receiver

I am looking for a receiver for my parents. I am looking for a 5.1 plus a second zone to power outdoor speakers. I was looking into Yamaha since I've always owned these with good results. I'm looking around $350 for them.
My question was around the Yamaha rx v571. This is a 7.1 receiver with no zone 2.
Can this receiver use the additional 2 channels for another room?
Can the additional 2 channels be run simultaneously with the other 5 ?
Can the additional 2 channels be run with the other 5 turned off?

I have the 667 which is great because the 2channels are independent but to pricey for them.

I do not believe that will work, but if your parents are willing to wait for deals newegg has sales on yamaha receivers fairly often. I got my rx-v765 for $400.

+1 on sticking with Yamaha, you can always fall back on your own knowledge to help them.
