I just did the bi-amp thing to my 2803 and I must say I did hear a definite audio improvement, subtle but better. Letting one amp section drive the woofers of my Paradigms, and another one driving the tweeters seems to work very well. It also allows a small measure of flexibility; I was able to lower the woofer section just a tad to help decrease a few humps I had in the mid-bass and mid-range. As was stated before, I found out that +2 on the zone 2 volume setting yielded almost perfect balance in level adjustment, however because of my room, I ended up setting the zone2 at 0. Thanks for the tip :D

Jeff, would you tell us the details? Did you have a channel un-used etc.?

Cheers

What do you want to know? I was not using my surround back channels, which are the zone 2 or surround back on the 2803. I set it up exactly as explained on this site in the 3805 review. It works perfectly. Now the L/R main is driving the tweeters and the Zone2 amp is driving the woofers of my monitor 7's I set the volume of the Zone2 a little lower than the tweeters, because according to the rives audio cd test tones and my handy dandy SPL meter I had some humps from 120 to about 350. Now I have achieved the flatest response I think I can get in my room without doing more treatment and a 3805 with the EQ.

Thanks Jeff!
I should have realized that it would be the same procedure as the 5803.

Cheers
