Let me start by saying I don’t have professional audio gear to drive these, although it’s in my future, and am aware of the demands at high spl. Currently using a Denon x2400h w/ Klipsch rp280 LCR and an HSU VTF15h. I have had it with the horns, very fatiguing and unenjoyable for any extended period of time at med/high volume.
Looking on eBay I found a set of 2017 ML Vantage for 2400 + freight(whatever that is), or I found a local seller I can pick up from who has a set of 2017 ML ESL new and unopened in box for 2000 flat no tax/local pick up. He said he bought them new but has so many other stats that he never opened them, just left them in the garage and now trying to clean it out.
Im not sure I need the extra bass from the Vantages given my adequate sub, plus the panels are only marginally larger than the ESL and use the same xStat tech.
Opinions on the matter are greatly appreciated.
