2011 Onkyo Receivers

Onkyo has announced three new models for 2011.

Boy did they change the look this time. Looks a little like the Anthem receivers. Looks like network capabilities are the big thing this year along with a new video processor for the 609.

I'm still not sure about how they look.

I think Onkyo receivers are the ugliest receivers out there bar none. Their front panel looks completely cluttered. I'm picking on their looks only, not their internals. They have no resemblace to the Anthem receivers at all IMO.

Marantz on the other hand makes the best looking receivers out there. Higher end Yamahas and Denons are mid pack in looks.

No sir I don't like the way those look. Honestly they remind me of the Yamaha's from a couple of years back.

If it was in a closet I would not worry about it.

I like the flagship Harman Kardon aesthetics the best.

If I were more "simple" and just had one blu-ray player instead of HTPCs and networks and everything else, I would just get 3 of these HK integrated amps for 5.1:

Pretty ugly IMO. They also don't include MultEQ on any of the receivers.
