A winner of the 2007 audiohholics products of the year for stereo amp, the Emotiva RPA-1, is no longer available. Sold out.

I spoke to an Emo rep, and he indicated, that it is unlikely that they will produce any more of them.

Instead they are working on its successor, an amp of similar application, yet supposedly more powerful and quieter. Price is supposed to be same or close to that of the RPA-1 ($699).

How long? Maybe spring.

I want one to replace my Peavy900, so I'll test out some used stuff and resell it for fun, until they come out.

Emotiva is also working on a lot of other new models as well.

price will still be 699? I wonder what the power rating be ... if the new 5 channel emo is 699 ... a 2 channel emo that's 699 should at least be 300-350wpc :)

Will it still be class H, and what do they mean by quieter, is the RPA-1 loud? My IPS-1 is silent, and it's a similar design. I can't wait to see what Emotiva will offer this year, along with all the other good companies.
