I'm about to DIY build two subwoofers for my home theater. I want two separate boxes. The subs are old school car audio subwoofers, Crystal CMP 12. They are going to be run by at 4 ohms by a two channel amp, a Crown DriveCore XLS 2000. They will be fed the same signal and level.
My question is, if I build one box sealed and the other ported, how would that effect sound quality?
Would I be better off building identical boxes for the two subwoofers?
