Alll in the title. I would like to get two nice 6 or 8 ohm 15's. Using a Sony dh550 receiver. Going with b215xl for mains. 2.2. Music only. I saw Dayton oh but they were 4 ohm. Will my receiver support that? Also, what amp? Inuke, berenger? I am thinking 750-1000 rms subs. 8000 cube room. 1000 square feet, no doors.

So, what two subs that fit this description should I seal for nearly 100% music? Thanks so much!

Also, I have a thread in loudspeakers where you can see what kind of idiot I am and what I'm trying to accomplish. My budget is around 2k. The thread is 4.4 stereo system.

The impedance of the subwoofers isn't important because they are an active speaker (have their own amp) and are not affecting nor using the speaker output amps of your receiver.

That's exactly what I thought. I come from car audio and built a dh550 with tsi400s, an f12 and a psw505. They compliment each other well but I need a good deal more output across the board. I have a lot of questions in my last post in the 4.4 system post. Thanks again.

I would buy 2 of Dayton Ultimax 15" with the DIY Box. Easy to assembly and have tons of output. I have 2 of them...you can not go wrong for price. I can not even get them to come close to distortion.

I go for TC Sounds drivers myself. It's a brand I know, trust and love. But you certainly can't go wrong with a Dayton, RE Audio or JL Audio driver.

none of those subs are in stock. save for a 13w7 and jl is overpriced imo. i looked at re and didn't see and prices... i knew a guy with a xxx off a 1000d ported around 33hz i believe. very nice.

i have a 12 inch rockford p3 that i was going to put in a ported box @ 34hz in my car. its 600rms. i also have an infinity 1262w that is 300 rms. they are both dual 4 ohm. could i use either of these in addition to the psw505 and f12? i want to stay around 5-600$ for a box, amp and sub. double if it is two subs, of course.

integrating a 12 i already own into my current system is ideal though. thank you very much.
