2 channel stereo

when I set up my system I set the mains to small and crossed to the sub at 100hz, when I listen to 2 channel stereo does it still cross to the sub at 100hz or is that only for dolby and dts and such?

It should work for two channel unless you are using (terminology varies) some sort of pure direct mode on your receiver. If you have your sub set to auto, it should kick in when needed. I have mine crossed at 80hz and some material doesn't go that low. Try putting in a bass heavy CD. I use The Cowboy Junkies to dial in my sub.
