2 channel help for...

...a Bose wave radio.

Wow that hurt to type. My father is looking for a 2 channel (maybe 2.1) setup to hook to his wave radio. If you didn't know, the radio has a LR stereo out on the back, I'm just unsure how to utilize it. Only ideas I've had are some computer speakers.

So here's the request: I need some reccomendations for a pair of speakers to hook up to the wave radio. They will be hooking up directly to the Red/White stereo output. If it's possible, a system with a sub would be nice as well.

Thanks for the help and, please, no useless cracking on Bose.

Computer or ipod speakers would work. I have klipsch pro media pc speakers. I like their sound.

Preferably around $200, no more than $500 (i.e. the less expensive the better).

Requirements changed.

Not better for sound, only wallets.:D

You could even get a receiver and a pair of decent speakers with that budget.

Is Dad a new electronics guy or will he consider used stuff?

Heh, you posted as I edited.

New stuff

If I tell him, he'll consider used things (as long as they're in good condition though).

Good cosmetics on used products becomes less common. Maybe stick to new stuff. I made a post on your new thread with recommendation.:D

My comments from your other thread:

3. Move the Wave Radio elsewhere, connect the CD Changer to a stereo receiver and from there to a ~$200 pair of speakers (X-LS also).

Choice three by a mile if it were me. Get the best speakers you can find and for a receiver, something around the $150 like the Onkyo linked below. It's really all about getting the best speakers you can find, the receiver is a very small part of the sound quality equation.
