I'm looking for a 2 ch receiver that can handle 4ohms load and is powerfull enough to fill a 8000 cubic ft room at very loud levels. I do not care for any bells & whisltes since it'll only be used for parties at my house.
Willing to stay within $300. Any Advice.

Well, maybe it is possible...

...but odds are it won't last more than a few minutes even then, it'll probably be very distorted.

Seriously, to OP. It ain't gonna happen with home consumer gear for anywhere near that price. You should be looking into a PA setup.

Also, you lneed to consider what speakers you intend to use when specing this project out.

Even if you go with a big old vintage Marantz or something like that, you will pay more than $300.

You had better keep your eyes glued to eBay and hope you can snap a steal.

The other thing is, you could use very efficient horn loaded speakers, then you would not need much power.

What are the speakers you hope to use, anyway?

How bout an old integrated amplifier. Do you need the tuner? If you don't need a tuner skip the receiver thing.;)

you could try something like that.

This is probably the newest...

It's a Marantz, so it might go up a lot in bidding. Best thing you can do is set a maximum bid and hope you get lucky in less than 3 days.:)

This last one is a buy it now, and Yamaha has some killer integrated amplifiers (this one should be no exception.

I'll be using pair of Axiom M80. Reading all the above replies I'm leaning towards using my main system to drive it using long wires.

That's a good option as well. You could always use one of the Zone preouts to feed a seperate amplifier. There are a lot of two channel amplifier solutions that would be great for you need. Just get an Behringer EP2500 and connect it to the Integra and you will have all the power you will ever need. The EP2500 can be found for under $300 and should have all the power you could ever need.
