Anyone prefer this? I find this so refreshing ....real.

Now if you're listing to Bassy hip hop , you want that Sub .

But I just did Floyd - Pulse - live wow - just seems cleaner and better. Really opens up the speakers IMO.

If your mains can play low enough and loud enough, sure. What are your mains? How loud do you listen?

Somewhat depends on your mains and room of course. Plus what you listen to, maybe even how you integrated a sub. If you prefer what you like in 2.0 with your speakers that's wonderful but doesn't mean in general those vague generalities hold true. Surround has it's own benefits, and I think depends a lot on source material...good surround mixes are very nice I think. The multich audio from Pulse I listen to often.

Been there. Done it. Don't prefer it. :D

The only time I use Direct Mode now is when I sing Karaoke. It does sound better.

Well, everyone who comes to my house sees that I only use "towers" - RBH SVT towers and SX-T2 towers. They don't see any dedicated subwoofers anywhere. So to everyone, I guess I am using "2.0" music mode in the living room. And since I use Audyssey BYPASS when listening to music, I'm technically not using Room EQ (since I am bypassing Audyssey Room EQ).

So I guess maybe I do use "2.0 Music no correction". :D

I use bypass as well, but often just leave correction on while listening to music these days.
