hey guys this is my first post. I found this website when i was looking on google. Im only 14 so i know a good amount about audio bout a could learn alot. right now i got a cheap insignia system. Its the one bestbuy has for like $110. I got it because it was all the money i had at the time but now im trying to get money for a really good system. Also pretty much all my family has systems in there cars so i like my sound loud and with alot of bass (my name hints at that). The really only bad thing about my environment is that the couch is all the way against the wall, so i dint know how a 7.1 would work. Also the left of the room is pretty much open besides a wall in the middle. I was wondering if u guys could help me out at figuring out a real nice system. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!

Some questions to get this started:

1. What is your budget?

2. What equipment do you plan to buy with that budget? Speakers, receiver, disc player, TV, other...everything?

3. How big is your room (dimensions - width, length, height), and does it open up into other large rooms? I ask this for the bass portion of it.

well right now i have $100 but im selling some car audio (cause i have no car) to me cuz so ill probably get like $120 but i was actually gonna wait till next year when xmas comes back around (i know it just passed), I like getting ideas so i have something to lokk forward to so i dant spend my money else where. So i guess like $500 to $600. I guess im planing on buying all audio equipment. Its 2:24 so i cant measure the room, nut ill do it later today. I can say its a pretty big room. I kind of explained it in the first post. I think it like 12 ft from front of tv to the back wall. It fllows it to a little hallway/room. I basicly want big bass from it. Since i got that cheap insignia id hook up a Rockford p1 12 to it but the only time it push it hard was in Tokyo Drift when i was watching it on my ps3 but i got a 360 now.
