I'll be building a sealed 4CF box with an 18" Dayton driver: Box; 4 cu ft Subwoofer box - Subwoofer Cabinets - Flat Packs DIY Sound Group Driver; 4 cu ft Subwoofer box - Subwoofer Cabinets - Flat Packs DIY Sound Group I've read quite a few threads where guys have used this combo and have been pretty happy with the results. My question is about amps and equalization mainly. I could get a 500 or 1000 watt plate amp with built in parametric EQ to deal with the frequency roll off of a sealed driver, or will Audyssey MultEQ XT32 give enough EQ to compensate? If so I could get a more powerful rack amp. Would that work? How do people with sealed passive subs and stand alone amplifiers deal with EQ? ...
