18" sealed enclosure?

Would the Soundsplinter Rlp 18" be a good match for a 7ft3 sealed enclosure with an EP2500? Or would there be a better 18" sub in its price range for a sealed enclosure?

On their web site it shows that 7ft3 is optimal sealed size.
As for the EP2500, it seems to be close in specs to the Crown K2, which I used to drive a pair of 15" sealed subs. I've since changed to a pair of BASH 540w plate amps, from Parts Express. As good as the K2 amp was, the BASH amps provide more output, plus having the option of either using the builtin crossover or the LFE input, which you don't get with a stereo amp.

The EP2500 is very popular and actually meets its specs. It is suggested over the Bash Plate amp which only gets around 480 watts in testing if I remember correctly. The bash is a great plate amp, but lacks the power of the EP2500. I see a lot of DIY amps with EP2500s now. You will need to do a quiet fan mod. But that's very easy and quick to do.

Very nice sub. Reach out to Warpdrv for his impressions. He has at least 2 of them in sealed enclosures with some big power.
