Hey guys,

Which brand is most value and not hard on my wallet? when it comes to cables for my studio speakers. I am looking at cobalt/monster, any other brands?.

Should I go for spades for paradigm or banana plugs?. I do not have a bi-amp so no point going for bi-wire I assume?. Should the cable for sub-woofer be any different?.

let me know guys

Powell.

Check out monoprice.com and bluejeanscables.com both those places will have cheaper wire than you are looking at and they will be the same quality if not better.

The banana plugs vs spades doesn't matter its whatever you want, in the end they are not even needed.

In my opinion, good quality copper wire is all you need, so don't focus on any particular brand.

avaserfi is right. Banana plugs, spades, or bare wire is based on your preference. I use banana plugs because it makes it a lot easier for me to connect and disconnect the speaker wires from my receiver (as I'm reaching around the back of my entertainment center). Plugs and spades add another resistance to the electrical circuit, but as long as you get decent connectors and make good metal-to-metal contact between the wire and the connectors, then you'll be fine.
