Not the brightest move on my part, but I spent about 2 hours trying to figure out why my 12v Triggers on my 80.3 Pre/Pro weren't working. For some reason my two Halo amps would stay on and the only way I could turn them off was to remove the triggers or turn off with the power sugre/conditioner.
Finally got fed up, wasn't sure if it was the amp or the pre pro, unplugged everything
- All 8 HDMI connections
- All speaker connections on my amps
- Had to take apart my BDI entertainment center shelves to get to everything which I had so carefully done cable management on
---------------------------------------------
Just tried plugging in the amp and pre/pro with nothing connected still not working. At least I still have about 8 months left on my warranty!!
BAD NEWS:
I totally wasted my time, finally looked at the menu screen on my pre/pro and saw a very tiny "Z2"
- Zone 2 was activated somehow, though I have no idea why as I don't use zone 2 so I must have fat fingered my remote
- turned it off and everything works fine.
Lesson Learned: Don't jump the gun until you have tried everything carefully before you disconnect everything to troubleshoot!!!! Could have saved myself about 3 hours worth of cable work
