110v amp used with voltage regulator

local electricity here is 220v. if say I were to buy a subwoofer whose amp is 110v. I plug the subwoofer to a 220v to 110v regulator ... will there be any problems?

None whatsoever, thats how I have been running all my US purchased 110V gear on 220V lines in India, just make sure that the step down is of good quality with low noise.
