need some help here. i am finally thru with htib systems. i have finally convinced the wife that spending 10k on a system is better than buying a htib twice a year b/c i am not happy with the sound.
being that i am making a leap from 1-2k systems to what i would consider high end, i need some help.
my 10k budget needs to include: speakers, amps, processor, dvd player, power conditioner, and interconnects.
i am learning tons of info by the day. i have looked at reviews of popular brands and most importantly have started auditioning speakers. listened to b&w 703's and 704's over the weekend. although i see myself spending more for the 704's, i have to say i was dissappointed with the sound and i will have to audition the 800's next week.
just wanted to know what you guys would put together and match up with this budget. i am considering the following items, let me know if there are some others that i should definitely look at and listen to.
rotel 1068
rotel 1080 or 1090
anthem avm-20
rdc7
paradigm studio 100's and the signatures c5, s8
axiom audio m80's vp150 etc.
psb
svs sub
i obviously have to play around with the $$$, meaning i can spend less on an amp and more for the speaker, and etc. this make it really confusing.
