Got a deal on a TC-P54G25 from Ultimate Electronics, replacing a TH-42PX80U (which went up to the bedroom).
Wow.
Of course there's a huge difference in picture acreage, and the resolution increase makes BD material prettier, but there also seems to be a marked increase in the color/black level realism (for lack of a better word). Everything just looks more natural. I'm very, very pleased.
Outstanding TV, particularly for the money, and a big thanks to the staff at Ultimate Electronics in Mesa for all the assistance... I'd researched for months and they provided much-needed personal guidance when it came down to a "this-or-that" decision between a Samsung PN-50C6500 and the Pana G25 and S2.
