    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

Decided to go with the SVS PB-1000. So far, I am quite impressed with this unit. More clarity and deeper frequency response! This thing has greatly improved my home theater! I am still doing some tweaking, but 30 and below is where this sub really shines. The 40-80 range is solid though.

    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

What about the new VTF-1 MK3 or the VTF-2? Would those be good options as well? Just trying to stay around the $500 budget.

    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

I'm working with the model prior to the Primus line. It's a decent little sub (8") for what it is, but I am well past time to upgrade. I upgraded everything else first.

    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

That HSU VTF-3 is quite nice, but with shipping, that takes me well over the $500 price point of the SVS. Is the HSU THAT much better?

    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

I've been thinking of going dual. May very likely add a second down the road.

Thanks for the info! HT setup is in a bonus room (22x18x8).

    Mid-bass subwoofer performance

I have been researching subwoofers for several months and I am finally at the point of making a purchase. For the most part, I am pretty much sold on the SVS PB-1000. One thing I have been seeing quite a bit is that the PB-1000 is a little lacking in the mid-bass range. Is the PB-1000 truly...

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

Good to hear! I was curious as to how the R110-SW would perform in a medium to large size room.

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

Good info! Thanks for the insight. Looks like HSU comes well recommended around these parts.

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

I guess I should keep the HSU under consideration. Good to hear some positive first-hand experience.

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

From what I have been reading, that R115SW is a worthy contender. I like what I see on the HSU VTF2, I'm just leery of the BASH amp reliability.

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

What's wrong with the Klipsch? Output, accuracy, reliability? I have read some pretty good reviews for the larger R-115SW. Would the SVS provide that much greater output?

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

Interesting idea. Never really considered the DIY subs. I guess at any rate, I need to go with a larger sub (12 -15").

SVS PB-1000 vs HSU STF-2 vs Klipsch R-110SW

Currently looking to upgrade a HT subwoofer. The HT setup is in a bonus room (22x18x8). Based on budget, I have pretty much narrowed down my choices to the following: SVS PB-1000 HSU STF-2 Klipsch R-110SW Based on the room size, which would be the better option? I am leaning more towards the...

Polk TSx330T vs Infinity Primus P363

Currently looking at the CS2 II. I like the 6 1/2 drivers over the 5 1/4 drivers in the TSx150C. Based on what I have read, the larger drivers yield a bit better sound quality. The CS2 is also about $70-80 less expensive.

Thanks JRT3! Sounds like you have a pretty nice setup there!

Polk TSx330T vs Infinity Primus P363

Series match doesn't really matter much to me, as long as they are timbre matched. I will look into the CS2. Looks like there are some good deals to be had on it. They do appear to be identical now that you mentioned it. I know you are looking forward to the RTi8's. Was looking at those too...

Polk TSx330T vs Infinity Primus P363

My speakers are black and my current Yamaha center is quite large, so I think I have the space. The CS2 looks like a great choice. Would it be better than the matching TSx150c or are they similarly voiced? http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-TSx-150C-Channel/dp/B00CHHCAQQ

Polk TSx330T vs Infinity Primus P363

Well, finally pulled the trigger on the Polk TSx330T. Got a really good deal (that I could not pass up) on the floor model/open box. The speakers are in great condition, minus a crack to one of the feet, but that's about it. No cabinet issues that would effect sound quality. I would have liked...
