No. I ran Audissey, got the the distances and saw the levels. After that, I turned off the Audissey eq and ajusted the sub level measuring the FR

I know I can’t, but in this case the power is so different (1500 vs 300 W) that was impossible not mention that. I’m not using Audissey, I just ran to set the speaker distances /delay. I didn’t understand the last thing you said. About the sub crawl. I tried to translate and even so I didn’t get it.

Guys, the KEF is here. It’s impressive how powerful it is. Sometimes its too much bass, doesn’t seem less powerful than my other sub witch has 1500 W. I had some problem with the limiter. The sub volume was too high and the amp was turning off to protect the driver. I saw that even on 50%...

Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-1600SW Subwoofer Review

I did some speaker models in my life, not as good as yours but I saw plenty of woofers that the ideal enclosure is a very small box with a very low Fb. It’s almost impossible to tune in correctly. Or you get a long port that doesn’t fit inside the box and have resonances or you have a small port...

KEF 12b vs Definitive technology DN10

I'd never evaluate a speaker quality from pictures. KEF is a serious maker that doesn't make sh*** products but, as a profit based company, will not spend money with a robust construction just to look better on the pictures. Between DN10 and the 12b, you'll need to find some measurements.

    Should I buy an integrated

That's it, guys! I'm going to stick with my NR1504. The power is more than adequate for me and I'll not risk money on the promising of a quality increase that is not measurable.

Bought a KEF Kube 12b, waiting for the package. I’m happy to have auto-on feature and a smaller system. I’ve never been a fan of too many external gears that gives a bigger footprint and needs to be manipulated every time I’m going to listen my songs.

    Should I buy an integrated

There is everything. Since I don‘t have a store to buy and return the equipment, I need to have 100% sure before buying something. I didn’t mention room or distances because I don’t feel lack of power. It was all about sound quality. I never push the volume too hard, I never passed the - 20...

    Should I buy an integrated

I doubt that too, but there is a lot of people over the internet saying that an integrated sound better than an average price AVR…

    Should I buy an integrated

Know they doesn’t have the HPF. I’m just don’t know if they’re really necessary since I don’t push my system to its limit. My question is about sound quality, not power reserve.

    Should I buy an integrated

Hi I have a pair of Revel M105 and a DIY sub that probably will be upgraded to an KEF Kube 12. As a amp, I use a Marantz NR1504. I never cared too much about amp because I used to have a Klipsch RB51 II witch is not a great speaker and aways needed a lot of EQ to sound good. So, having an EQ...

I said how prices go to 6k: we have people here who wants to pay more just to be exclusive. The KEF is imported from Paraguay where the prices are about the same of USA. The KEF I wrote about was imported when USD was cheaper for us. Since right now the USD is more expensive, seems the product...

No! In Brasil we are used to try automotive drivers to home applications. Our other options are pro drivers that has higher sensitivity and very high Fs. For sub we need to get a 18” driver to achieve some low frequency. I always think Thiele Small as a definitive guide for driver sound. As I...

There are a lot of options here, but almost all of them suck because they’re made for the people who wants to play loud at the car without caring about quality. There are a just a few brands who makes drivers for sound quality that may be suitable for home use. What are the parameters I should...

because our population is weird. It’s a poor country with rich people who likes to be exclusive. So, some products are rare or very expensive just to be exclusive. Just to know, a SVS Sb3000 costs about U$6k here! A Revel speaker is just twice off US price. What the reck the SVS dealer is...

I missed the problem of using the actual system with the port sealed.. I could look for another driver too, but it would be another automotive stuff :(

But with a LPF at 40 Hz as is, I’m i correct to assume the group delay gone to hell On my actual design ? (i really appreciate having a WinISD on Mac….)

I will try a longer port. It’s the cheapest shot to try to save the design. If I don’t like the result, I’ll try the sealed or buy I comercial sub anyway. The HPF is not adjustable and I don’t know what kind it is. Is just a standard filter that digital amps has on input. I just thought that...
