    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Congrats on the new purchase, @Cibrd0wn! As I mentioned, I ended up grabbing a pair of Canton Chrono SL-536.2, then paired it with a Vento 866.2, a pretty sizable center channel speaker, BTW, as they didn't have the Chrono SL 556.2 center in white at the time and the price was pretty good for...

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Thanks again for all the feedback, folks. I decided to grab a pair of Canton Chrono SL-536.2s from AC4L, should be here some time tomorrow. I'll give 'em a whirl over the weekend in the home theater to see how they hold up, perfect timing while the missus is away, muh-hah-hah-hah.... ;)

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Ain't that the truth, bunch of damn enablers! ;) I had considered the 'age' thing being a possible factor, but I've always preferred a slightly sharper/crisper tweet over a laid back one. Going the bookshelf route, at least for an in-home demo, would allow me the possible benefit of A-B...

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Thanks @KEW ! Good point regarding the tweeter difference, I swear the Chrono 596 tower I referenced had the ceramic tweeter, but I must've somehow overlooked that. I'm curious to know if any of the other Chrono towers do have the ceramic tweeter. While I do find the Vento cabinet more...

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Thanks for the input, @Bucknekked ! I've been around AH for some time, but unfortunately haven't had the chance to hit the forum over the past couple years as much as I'd like and have in the past. I think you might've hit the nail on the head with your "Sometimes the itch is just there and...

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Thanks @snakeeyes, hopefully Kurt can chime in when he has a chance. I was looking at the 836s as an another option as well as the 9.2 bookshelfs, what size listening area are you currently using them in if you don't mind me asking?

    Canton Owners/Listeners Question

Hi folks, I've been considering giving Canton a test drive in my home theater setup and hoped to get some input from folks that may have had some experience with both their floor standers as well as their higher end bookshelf speakers. Feedback on experience with either is definitely welcome...

"Unbreaking America" - proposed concept on fixing our political system!

Agreed and well said. I'm not of the mindset of allowing taxpayers to skirt their fiduciary responsibilities, but common sense has to prevail more often than not. This is where further reform is either warranted or at the very least, review of how the current rules and regulations are...

"Unbreaking America" - proposed concept on fixing our political system!

So... your contention is that she'll never pay any of the loan, regardless of whether she's homeless or not? I think you missed the part from my comment where I mentioned not being a fan of footing someone else's debt, she absolutely shouldn't be absolved of paying her loan. In this person's...

"Unbreaking America" - proposed concept on fixing our political system!

I've got mixed feelings on that, it's enough of a challenge with my family's and my own financial obligations than to have to pay someone else's debt, but sometimes common sense has to prevail in situations like what's referenced from that article.

"Unbreaking America" - proposed concept on fixing our political system!

You neglected to include the part about her being homeless. I'm not a fan of footing somebody else's debt either, but it's not like she's layin' down fat stacks at the blackjack tables in Vegas. This is a fairly relevant quote from the article: "Borrowers in financial distress can request...

    Used RX-A3010 for $600

Having had both an RX-V1900 and RX-A2000 (very little diff btw the 2000 vs the 3010) in my main theater location, the main difference between them IMO is the improvements in YPAO and the user interface (UI). If you don't have a difficult room to work with as far as EQ is concerned, there's not...
