I like the look of the black drivers much better. How do they sound? What did you have previously for comparison?

Confirmed Paradigm fan here so I recommend them, especially the Studio series. Studio 60s with a cc-490 would be in your budget.

Anthem MCA 20

I own a SB13 Ultra and I can whole heartily recommend it. Although I lean more heavily towards music, I also enjoy a thunderous movie. I'd go the SB route and if one isn't enough........buy a second one (easy for me to say ;)).
