    Back and Ready to design!

So my receiver is a Yamaha RX-A1030 and my tv is a Samsung un65hu8550. It works if I bypass the receiver but I really don't want to do that and keep switching inputs all the time. I think I've tried all of the receiver settings and I've updated it, no luck.

Thanks, it's nice to be back and cannot wait to set up the new system and share pictures and thoughts with you all. So I have looked at all those and will consider each, along with the Outlaw (thanks ShadyJ). I am going to try and get it ordered in the next 3-4 days. I know that Dennis...

    Subwoofer for new basement…..somewhat continued

Hey All, I started a thread in General AV talking about speakers for a new setup and have made some choices so far. I have emailed with Dennis Murphy about the Philharmonic AA's (towers and center) and that could not have been a better customer experience. I emailed him about 4-5 times with...

    Back and Ready to design!

Hey all thanks for the inputs. So as an update I purchased the Samsung 8550 in an 65", it's awesome I love it. I am thinking I'll get ahold of Dennis today and get the speakers, these aren't my "forever" speakers but will do just fine I believe for many many years. I'm going to get the towers...

Hey thanks for the reply. Do have a question about those speakers. Are they "good" speakers, or are they "good" for cheap speakers. I do like denon:

Greeting Guys! Last time I posted on here I was leaving for USAF bmt. Wel, almost two years later and many travels we are situated, new ventures ahead and it seems the new house needs a av system!!! What's new in the world? As I didn't know when or where we would be I got rid of everything...

    Audioholic Out....

That is the advice I received from other military members as well. We have two young children and the AF is said to be the best "family" branch. It's amazing that your eyesight is still in tact given the age of the planes you encountered lol!

All- I have really enjoyed this site for the last couple of years, and though i have been more active reading and enjoying conversations, usually stemming from an Adam review or a jab at Ricks men (?). You guys are awesome and I look forward to being back in the civilian world. I have decided...

Integra DTR-40.5 and DTR-50.5 AVRs First Look

So I have been using an Integra 30.5 and wow is all I really can say. This was my first experience with Audssey and I was more than surprised at what it did in an imperfect room. Bass has never been so accurate, speakers adjusted properly (besided some minor tweaking, but hey) and their power...

    Large Room Setup

For 7-800 are you needing to get speakers and a receiver, blu-ray, etc? That may not be a realistic option if that is for everything due to the size of the room and size of speakers you will get for that budget. Are you ok with starting with maybe only a left and right and adding on in the...

Newbie here for some help on everything really. Jumping into HTS world.

As someone that is in the CI industry this is what can be very frustrating. I'm not directly referring to the OP but this is a very common issue that really, in the long run, hurts the home owner. Apparently at some point electricians, contractors and the dog trainer decided they could run...

I need an improved plan for furbishing my HT/Audio room

When you say they don't drive them well, in reference to your front speakers what do you mean? Volume, quality? Those speakers are pretty efficient, 91db I believe so that should be plenty of power for most. The non matching center may be an issue, do you hear a different sound quality from...
