Mitsubishi DLP - Good Idea or Bad?

Ahh, the Waiting Game... it's like computers, if you wait, you will surely get more for less, and whatever you buy will be eclipsed a few months later by something faster, bigger, better. There are small periods of time when it's better to buy, but now ideal time, IMHO. I say buy what you...

Mitsubishi DLP - Good Idea or Bad?

I am looking at the Mits DLP's as well... I have owned a 250 lb. 55" CRT monster box for over 8 years, so am used to the depth... I have big speakers anyway, so the the extra space taken by the display helps to balance the appearance of the front soundstage. My current display looked big for...

Anyone using a QSC pro amp for their sub(s)?

Installed the new fan today; what a huge difference, from intolerable to barely-heard... it sounds like there is a bathroom fan running in another part of the house. I'm wondering if I can tame that down a little more with some gaskets between the fan and the metal housing and tunnel that butts...

Anyone using a QSC pro amp for their sub(s)?

I ordered the fan a couple of days ago from Digikey... as for the lights, I had thought of the tape solution; just hoping it doesn't look too tacky (adhesive pun not intended)...

Rainbows and the new Mitsubishi DLPs...

I've been eyeing the giant 82" Mits DLPs at Best Buy for a few weeks, but have not had a good chance to audition with my own material. I have had problems with looking at DLPs in the past (I see rainbows), and am wondering if there are any owners out there who have a similar issue, and if it...

Anyone using a QSC pro amp for their sub(s)?

I just started using a QSC RMX 2450 to power my homebuilt subs; definitely going to switch out the fan (sounds like a vacuum cleaner, or the loudest computer tower ever)... I am also not too crazy about how bright the power and signal lights are when in use; very distracting... wondering if...

    One 15" or Two 12"?

How about one 12" and one 15"? I have two DIY's - the 12" is a Dayton Titanic Mk III Sonosub, and the 15" a Tempest-X in a baltic birch box; both are tuned to 15 Hz... any way you go, 2 is always better than one, for a more balanced output.
