    Best Display for XBox 360?

I know that some LCD screens have issues when it comes to games on PC's. I wonder if the pixel refresh rates of LCD TV's are a problem with fast-action games or not.

    choosing large or small setting!!

IMO, the only reason to use the "Large" setting for the mains is if you do not have a good subwoofer (yet). If you do not have a sub, setting them to large and the remaining speakers to small (if they have less bass response than the mains) will redirect the low bass to the speakers that at...

    7.1 Speaker Set-Up Question.

If your couch is against the wall, I would not consider going 7.1 If you can move your couch forward several feet it would be do-able

Klipsch reference or Paradigm Reference V2 or V3?

I also prefer the 7's over the 11's, but then I prefer the 5's over either of them. The Studio 60's are more in line with the Klipsch RF5's price-wise and out-shine them in every aspect except spl levels (efficiency). The Klipsch are very dynamic and would be a great choice if your main use...

Paradigm studio V2,is it better than V3

Oh, and I actually prefer the sound of the 470 over the 570. Not as much lower extension, but the midrange sounds better, and my sub covers the lower bass anyway.

Paradigm studio V2,is it better than V3

The Studio v3's are definately superior to the v2's in my opinion. The v4 of the Monitor line is now using the same tweeter that the Studio v2's have, and the Studio v3's tweeter is even better. Midrange also sounds more open while bass seems about the same between the two versions (to my ears).

Paradigm PDR-12 or SVS PB 10 (or 12)

I have the SVS PB-12 in a room that is 22X12 and it is fantastic. Bass is tight and very powerful. It sounds and FEELS great. If you have the floor space, you will not be disappointed. I heard the PDR-12, and it does sound very good, but I couldn't really FEEL it. I see nothing wrong with...

    Paradigm package vs individual components

The sub does not have to match the rest of the speakers. I would go with SVS (which I own and HIGHLY recommend) or HSU for a sub. I'll add my agreement to getting the Yamaha 1500 rather than the 2500, although I preferred the Dennon 2805 over the Yamaha 2500. Spend most of your budget on...

Which Sub to go with my Klipsch 25 setup??

You will have no compatibility problems whatsoever. While it is very important to match the voicing of your front three speakers and slightly less so to match the surrounds with the fronts, the sub is different. The other speakers are producing sound in the same range, while the subwoofer is...

    Choose the Speakers

Have you considered the Monitor 5's? I actually prefer them to the Monitor 7's. While the bass doesn't go quite as low, I find the bass to be tighter on the 5's than the 7's. A good subwoofer will more than make up for the difference. The subwoofer does not have to match the remaining...

    What is base management ?

Some subs have left and right connections so that they can be used with the preamp-out of a preamp or some receivers. If used with the pre-out, the sub will combine the left and right inputs and you would use the sub's built-in crossover to filter out the tones above it's crossover point. When...

Need help with settings on my receiver...please :)

I agree. Set the crossover to 80Hz for a start. I would not set it above 100Hz under any circumstances. The goal is to not be able to notice that the low bass is coming from the subwoofer. Everyone is different, but most people cannot localize sounds below 80Hz (and few can localize below...

    Why not Bose?

    Why not Bose?

Very true, except those speakers (and many others) use paper that is treated with various materials to enhance stiffness, remove resonances and prolong the life of the cone. Bose uses UNTREATED paper in their speakers. I am not a fan of foam surrounds though, since they wear many many times...

    Paradigm

Has anyone heard the Monitor version 4's yet? My local dealer is just getting them in and doesn't have any set up yet. I have heard that the new crossover smooths out the midrange quite a bit.

    Recommendations/Suggestions???

Have you listened to Paradigm speakers? I find their mid-priced Monitor line to sound better than all but the RF-5 /7 in the Klipsch Reference line (where I find them very close). The more expensive Reference line is much better than the Klipsch. The Klipsch are more efficient however, and...

    Axiom M3ti vs. Paradigm MiniMonitors

Why not throw the Axioms in the car and take them to the Paradigm shop so you can A/B them? It's not like they are huge floorstanders. I for one would be interested in reading your comparison.

    klipsch f-3 system

What is your budget? I find it odd that you want to pair up Klipsch's lower-end speakers with a receiver that costs over $1K. If you like the Klipsch sound, you may want to consider going with their Reference line. If money is a factor, you can step down to a $800 receiver such as the Dennon...

For $1200 should which way to go. Please help.

If you like the way the Polk's sound, then go for the Polks. If you are not happy with the sound then you should probably sell the center channel and get a new center as well as mains so that they match in timbre.

    Matching Speakers for 7.1

Your best bet would most likely be another set of M22ti's if you are going to be listening in 7 channel stereo. Otherwise, I believe that the M2ti's have the same drivers as the M22ti's, so they would voice-match very well.
