    Integrated amp or Separates?

I would recommend you look into the Marantz PM8006 integrated amp. When I had my Klipsch Forte speakers this amp was recommended and used by many folks over on the Klipsch forum. Or the lesser PM7000n integrated amp if you want the built in dac for your TV output.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

I has nothing to do with loud...just loud enough. To hear dialogue clearly over the effects and music.

    Time to move to Separates

My current avr does not have pre-outs so either buy an expensive avr w/ them or go separates. Either way I'm not ready for that kind of expenditure plus add Dynaudio center and surrounds too. I'll casually see what shows up preowned.

    YouTube Audio Gurus?

I think some of the YouTube reviewers are good at relating their equipment choices in context to what they're parterning their gear with. I feel a lot can be gleaned about the subtle differences if you take the time to analyze their results. I don't have the luxury to audition gear so this is...

    Time to move to Separates

This would benefit me because my Dynaudio speakers, even in a 2.0 system, are power hungry so I need a pre/pro and power amp to get some real 'umph' behind them. At present I can't even think of getting beyond a 2.0 system w/ my speakers of choice.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

I'm sure you know every room is different Kevin. What Yammie you have too, plus 'LOUD' is relative. We're not always listening at 8.5. It can be 22-16 but sometimes even 6. Depends on the program and this is only for a 2.0 system. I still haven't sold AVR since it's doable for 2.0, but...

Marantz Streaming Integrated Amp: Audiophile Grown Up?

40n looks nice for sure w/ a substantial isolated dac. For $800 I've been intrigued w/ Yamaha's R-N803 network receiver.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

I decided to sell the AVR and hooke the Dynaudios back up to my Rega Mira3 integrated amp which is clearer and more dynamic anyways. And I am really impressed with the Dynaudio sound so they are keepers. The center is an issue with this AVR so I'm done w/ a 3.0 system for now.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

My AVR doesn't have pre outs and I don't have the funds to add a new AVR. The center is my most important need currently. Since know one seems to know the answer, I'll just buy the more timbre correct Emit 25c center.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

And that is the problem. One is efficient but low impedance and the other is less efficient but higher impedance.

Which center channel speaker is easier to drive w/ my AVR?

I have a middle of the road Yamaha RXV681 AVR w/ 90 w/2 channel @8 ohms 20-20khz, or 150w/1 channel @4 ohms at 1khz. My left and right speakers are 86db @ 6 ohm Dynaudio Emit10 L/R speakers, so it's not uncommon to use amp at -8.5 on the volume control which is pretty near max output at '0'...

Yamaha Audio vs Jamo vs Klipsch - Which speaker of these brands are the best?

Knowing this tread I'll still post my 2¢ if it may help someone. As I'm aging audiophile speaker which still sound great w/ music are not that great for dialogue on movies in some situations. I'm finding great results w/ a Yamaha Avr or Rega integrated amp w/ Klipsch Forte speakers. Klipsch are...

    Cd players

BTW Jerry, there is still the issue of how well the DAC chip is implemented. There is a sonic difference. Plus I was making the comparison in a 2 channel audiophile system, not a HT which is what I suspected the OP was refering to looking for a cd player. I guess this is the wrong forum to bring...

    Cd players

Remember Jerry there is more than the Dac, it eventually becomes an analog signal so analog implementation in a cdp or stand alone dac is as important as the dac used. I used a basic bdp's analog out vs. the digital out into 2 different stand alone dacs. The better Schiit Dac offered the best...

    Cd players

Is your Yamaha receiver a 2 channel receiver? Are you using the analog outputs of your cdp to it? You will definitely hear a difference. Sounds like your current Sony cdps laser may be at the end of it's life, so the upgrade will be necessary sooner or later. The Dac, analog board, and how...

My Listening Room w/ 2 setups one for the wife "simple" Big One for ME

Spectacular system and room. Well thought out and executed. As you know the Classe/ B&W pairing is a top notch combo. Enjoy listening! I likewise am an audiophile and enjoy vinyl playback too, though w/ a smaller budgeted system, so I can really appreciate what you have there.

What kind of wire is this?

How can you be sure it's tinned copper. Seems unlikely for inexpensive wire. I suspect it's aluminum. Monoprice makes inexpensive flat speaker wire from Amazon.
