I have owned denon and pioneer. Bought them for the price I could afford. Currently looking to replace my pioneer as it is over 7 years old amd need 4k passthru.

I like the braided cords as well as the inclusion of the microphone.

After the nightmare I had with the umc-1 which I did send back I will never buy another Emotiva processor. Also only one hdmi out at that price point is a joke.

I prefer option #1. a complete standalone would be great, I really don't want to have to buy any seperate amps. I would use it mostly in the kitchen and any outdoor activities.

Can't wait to see how many problems this has. I had the umc-1, what a joke. Tons of problems that they blamed on my equipment. Sent it back and have no problems with my pioneer elite hooked to the same components as the emotiva. Emotiva will never get anymore money from me.
