I was not impressed with the NADs measurements from the previous link but I do like their modular designs.... But at 6k us and 8k plus tax cad is steeeeeep... The Yamaha is a great choice for half the cost of the nad.

Probably longevity. Not saying it will noticeably sound better... but hopefully last longer. However, the other reviewer in the video, mentioned the room correction experienced with the NAD was superior and that Audyssey was not that great compared to DIRAC and ARC.

Being in Canada, that unit would be close to $8000 CAD + 13% tax. To me if you're going to spend that kind of coin on a pre pro, the end HT would be around a 100k CAD or close to it. In my point of view, I would need to be making somewhere around 200K per year salary to make that somewhat...

When I switched it from .775 to 1.4 the amount of bass wasn't strong enough to my liking so I turned the gain up two notches and it sounds good. I haven't had it clip but even on .775 it was only clipping once in a blue moon.

Yes I switched it to 1.4 and turned the gain up two notches because there wasn't enough bass. I use mcacc with the 7.0 speakers but not with the sub. After the AVR calibrates, I enable the subwoofer so the mcacc doesn't calibrate it. I will check the thread you linked tomorrow. Thanks for your...
