Anyone familiar with the REL R505?
Yes I agree, depending on the driver being used a sealed box can be just as good as a ported box. What I would really like to do is listen before I purchase (as I'm sure most of us would prefer). Just don't have an REL AD that has this model, OH well........

I'm thinking about replacing my SVS with something with a bit more punch.

CLASSIFIEDS - SELL YOUR GEAR
Any idea's ?
I'm sure the wires are not the issue. I watched a movie with the DVD player and listened to 4 hours of music with no issues. What I have here is a bad CD player. First time I purchased anything that was "factory reconditioned" and it's likely to be the last

Any idea's ?
This is a CD player and heat is not the issue here. As a follow up I removed the RCA's and left the unit to play, it did not turn off so it's an internal problem. I also tried a different set of RCA's only to get the same result, the unit shuts down. So looks like this will be going back :(

Any idea's ?
Just hooked up my new Onkyo DX-7555 and after about 4-5 minutes of play it shuts off. I suppose it could be a bad power supply but I figured I see what others had to say.

SubCast
Still use it? Yes. Still like it? Never didn't like it. Works great and allows me a great deal of flexibility with sub placement.

My turn - flooded basement.
I can tell you from experience, remove the offending tree or you will have trouble again.

Wireless HDMI.
Just came across this wireless HDMI set-up. Pretty cool really and gives one some added flexibility with their layout. more here: http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?prod=HDP100

Would this be the tool to buy to cut round holes?
Have a look at Rotozip as well. Rotozip + circle attachment = neat round holes :D I've had one for years and use it on drywall, MDF, tile, plywood and more. Very easy to handle. http://www.rotozip.com/SiteLanding_Page.htm

Does anyone know?
Thanks, I have zero interest in DVR so maybe my best bet would be DISH. I'm pretty sure they had options for standard, HD, and HD plus DVR. Off to have a look now, thanks again :)
