Denon AVR X4000 to X5200 upgrade (any better sound if I use pre-out only?)

I am no expert, and there are far more knowledgeable people on here than I. That said, I believe that A. your audio shop "staff" is clearly trying to profit from you selling a $1000 plus AVR that you absolutely DO NOT need (based on what your use is) and B. revert to A. I copied and pasted...

Beginning the Search For A Real Sub

Without an actual budget (with a hard ceiling), it is a tad difficult for people to recommend a specific sub. Warrior is absolutely right about picking something that catches your eye. There are several ID subs that will accomodate both the WAF and budget. As far as quality, I have yet to...

    Best 60" HDTV

At that price range, I'd opt for a 60 inch Samsung F8500 (but only because you said you have some daytime light issues). However, if you can swing a 65 incher, I'd get the VT65 for even less. Amazon.com: Panasonic TC-P65VT60 65-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Smart Plasma HDTV (Includes 2 Pairs of 3D...

    PSA xv15...Should I buy

Shady is right (as is Steve for that matter re: Outlaw deal). The XV15 is pretty much THE sub to beat at that price point, and your probably looking at DIY for something better at $800.
