Denon AVR-A110 110th anniversary edition av receiver

Yeah, I know about the pics. I was away from the house. I figured if someone is interested, it'd be worth the trouble. Lol

Denon AVR-A110 110th anniversary edition av receiver

$4,500 Bought this beast thinking a new theater was in the works for my home. Didn't pan out for us. This receiver has only been used to power a pair of tower speakers a couple of times just to hear it. I have 100% of the original packaging and the special anniversary edition signed certificate...

Ha! There are drink coasters under the front feet of the speakers at the moment. Does that count? LOL I felt like the metallurgical interactions with the copper veiled the midrange a touch to much. lolol

Ignore the room, we're remodeling. That out of the way, I thought an update was in order. Yes, the things you've heard about these speakers are true. This is an older pic, I played with placement and tilt and got these speakers playing nice with the room. Wow! The thing that is most striking...

The freedom convoy of antivaxers here in Canada are a bunch of facist pigs.

For those quoting my anecdote and saying "you didn't die, that's the point" I lost two vaccinated family members to this crap. Did it stop them from dying? No. Like I said, I don't see the point.

I've worn MOP gear. Every tiny air leak is important. Masks are useless to protect oneself unless you're wearing goggles that seal over your eyes. If you have tubes in your ears, they would need to be plugged as well. I don't care how fancy a n95 you have on. It was designed for dust.

I won't be trying to achieve THX Dominus levels in there. Lol. (Not often anyways) The other key here is the sensitivity of the speakers, 92 db is pretty high. I do have other amps I can try "if" the Denon can't cut the mustard with them in that space. Or if I feel there isn't enough headroom...

Not a political position here, just personal anecdote. I am vaxxed, so is my wife. We use masks too. I caught covid, and then gave it to her. Seems the vax neither stopped me from getting it or kept me from spreading it. I don't see the point.

Need a little help with speaker "Break In"

I was recently instructed to mark one end of my speaker cables because "they burn in directionally". Dead.

It should be up to the task. I've wanted to separate a 2.0 from my theater stuff for a long while. I find the damped theater spaces a bit dry for 2-chan. listening. While I'm waiting for the S7t's I've been listening to my Aperion Versus grands on it (A110). Good budget speaker that has no...

    Perlisten S7t Tower Speaker Review

I ordered a pair of the S7t's in ebony high gloss! The weather has slowed down shipping, so here I wait *ahem* patiently. These will be for my bedroom 2-chan. rig. Power is from the Denon A110 integrated amp. Sources are the Denon 110 SACD player and Mofi precision turntable Fender...

    Cruises' theater

Zombie thread rises. About to start a new theater build in my forever home. We've had my theater set up in our master bedroom for 8 years now. Sad, I know. Our house is full of natural light, and the theater is going into a loft with an overlook into the living room. Lot of challenges...

    Cruises' theater

Finally bought a house, theater had to change. Well, we finally took the leap into home ownership. Life is good, theater.... mostly. The new place made me strike some serious comprises. I'll post up some pics, impressions of the new set up, and eventually a classified for my projector...

Top 10 Subwoofers in the World!!!

I guess I have to start over with my theater now that I've read this thread. I have two SVS PB-13 Ultras that are only running 10-13% of their capability in my room. It was stated that "if you can't use the full capability, you don't have a proper theater". -Bummer :o

Time to buy a gun ... again

Okay I over stated the grip size difference. I got our Beretta 92fs/M9 out and compared it to my Kimber 1911 Pro TLE/RL II and the grips are very similar in size. I'd now like to say the 92fs grip is 10% larger than the 1911. Granted, the mil spec 1911 is a Colt, so the comparison I made...
