too tight of a fit for my Onkyo TX-SR507?

My next entertainment rack will be an open design so there's plenty of room around my equipment. With your situation you're going to need some air flow around it. If I were you I would be looking at ways to put intake and exhaust fans around the receiver. Just one or the other with such tight...

Anyone know a good online place to buy decent quality cables?

I've never had a problem with any of my Monoprice cables. I looked at Bluejeans too when I was looking to buy just could justify the price difference. I don't move my equipment much if at all so I don't have any problems with that.

    Everything for sale....

There are no key holes or anything on the speakers. These are no small speakers, as I have a pair. You would need a wall mount that would cradle the bottom of the speaker and support it like that.

    Finally happy with my setup.

If you can't tell the difference without knowing which one you are listening to then how do you know there is a difference? If you know which one you are listening too then your brain can make you notice a difference. Next to that I'm staying out of this thread and just going to say that one...

    Barely hear movie characters talking....

Agree with TLS Guy on this. All you have to do is setup your system right. I've never had this problem. On a side note this thread was over a year and a half old before it was brought back to advertise something:rolleyes:

Anyone know a good online place to buy decent quality cables?

Agreed... No need to look any where but Monoprice. :D

    Interesting.......

Warpdrv already mentioned AVS, I'm pretty sure there is a build thread over there with subs that look darn close to these. I'm guessing someone has already done the design work for you.

What speakers for HT setup with proj. and fixed screen?

There are a few choices in the form factor you are looking at but everything that I can think of right now is out of your price range. I see a lot of acoustically transparent screens being used now so the speakers can be mounted behind them. That way there are no size restrictions or locations...

I'm selling my year old 40 gig PS3

I'll have to keep an eye on it. If it doesn't get too expensive I could use a blu-ray player for the bedroom :) That and that's where the PS2 is anyway.

What is the best audio system arrangement for kids room?

For a 6 year old. I would look into something that she could be a little rough with. Even if kids know what they are doing they have a tendency to mash on buttons every now and then so something she can beet up would be good. In a few years get her something a bit nicer.

How to determine best speaker placement for the room I'm in

Any way you would consider rotating the room 90* to the left and putting the TV/stereo on the short wall to the left of that pic? Then you could center everything on that wall, the surrounds could be evenly spaced on each side of the room and from the looks of everything you would still be able...

    Help Please!

A quick web search to look up the speakers in question and those subs are going to be a waste of money for what you want with the speakers you are looking at. The 1200's go to 39Hz and 2400's to 40Hz, the subs only go to 35Hz and are not going to keep up with the volume level the MTX's speakers...

    Home Theatre

The SVS setups are going to blow a HTIB any time. They are designed by speaker designers only, while the other companies design many things. Now you will also need to buy a receiver with the SVS setup but I would go that way. Also the Sub in the SVS will blow away any of those subs in the HTIB...

    National Woods Cabin

Looks beautiful. I could only dream of living in a location like that. Looks like you're going to need a wall in that back corner to support it. Any idea what kind you'll use?
