Epson HC 720 - Moves From HDMI to RGB

Hello everyone. I've had an HC 720 for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it. One minor inconvenience I'm running into happens when changing video sources (for example: PS3 to HD DTV and vice versa) Both of these sources are connected to an Onkyo 605 via HDMI, then goes through the HDMI...

    How insane am I?

...to answer your question... I'd say you're fairly insane! :D

Epson Home Cinema 720 LCD Projector Review

I own an HC720 and could not be happier. Granted, I'm a projector noob, but the perforance to value ratio on this unit is off the charts in my opinion. I'd recommend it without hesitation!

    Call Me Crazy But....

I absolutely considered "HT Friendlyness" during my extensive house-hunting adventure. While my wife was looking for granite counter tops and crown moulding, I was looking for TV placement and in-wall wiring options. I'd say "HT Friendlyness" was a pretty big factor in my buying decision...

Focupix 92" HDVio Install in Front of Plasma

Thanks for the comments. Bass traps are definitely in my future, I just need to figure out how to sell that concept to the wife. She's been pretty lenient thus far, but I think that might be pushing it. I thought I was going to have to sleep on the couch for a week after the MFW-15 moved in...

Focupix 92" HDVio Install in Front of Plasma

I thought I'd share a few pics of my screen install... There were a couple things I needed to make sure I got right on this: First of all, the projo screen needed to clear the front of my plasma, and secondly, I wanted to make sure when the screen was in the down position, it must completely...

Onkyo 605 video connection question - HDMI and Compnt?

    ...switcher.... not swither... :D

Onkyo 605 video connection question - HDMI and Compnt?

Thanks... I re-read that post and you're right. I'm fine doing it that way from a video standpoint, but I'd hate to lose DTS HD MA and TureHD. It looks like I may just invest in an inexpensive HDMI swither from monoprice. Thanks again.

Onkyo 605 video connection question - HDMI and Compnt?

Thanks for the response! Just to clarify... my PS3 is connected to the 605 via HDMI. If my projector is only connnected via the component video connection, can I not view blu rays on the projector?

Onkyo 605 video connection question - HDMI and Compnt?

I have a question regarding my Onkyo 605 and was not able to locate an answer in the manual or by searching the fourm. I've got a Samsung 5054 plasma (720p) using the Onkyo's hdmi output. I'd also like to run an Epson 720 projector (screen drops down in front of plasma) via the Component video...

GTA IV - The Game Behind the Hype

Agreed. This is the first time I've played any game in this franchise too, so I'm still going thru a learning curve, but so far, I'm not completely blown away. I guess after all the hype, I just thought it would be more fun. ...Maybe I just need to get more in touch with my inner gangster! I'll...

    subwoofer cable?????

I could be wrong, but I think RG6 is recommended over RG59 because of its lower guage copper dielectric (sp?) ...but I hear either will work and RG59 is more flexible. You'll just need to get some F-Conn to RCA adapters that can be purchased online from places like partsexpress.com or even at...

    AV123 or SVS?

The first room is the primary living room. It's about 20 x 17 with 9' celings, and it's somewhat open on two sides. The other room was a bonus/toy room for my son that I've reclaimed as a dedicated HT. It's pretty small (about 1500 cu.ft.) so I think one of these subs might do some damage. :) It...

    AV123 or SVS?

Pulled the trigger on a pair of MFW-15's Soundman- I was faced with the exact same decision as you. I sold my Def Tech Supercube Reference and bought a pair of cherry MFW-15's for two different theater systems in my home. I did a ton of research and lost a lot of sleep. I was very hesitant to...

    250 GB, 5400 RPM PS3 Hard Drive for $100!

Thanks! I did this early this morning and it worked like a charm. Now I just need to import my files from iTunes and Picasa into Meida Player and I'll be good to go! Thanks again for the advice!

    250 GB, 5400 RPM PS3 Hard Drive for $100!

Okay... (Warning! Dumb Question Coming!) How do I access things on my PC from the PS3? I'm currently networked via an ethernet cable, but could also go wireless. (for whatever reason, I figured a wired connection to the PS3 might be more consistent.) I thought I had a decent grasp of how a...

    250 GB, 5400 RPM PS3 Hard Drive for $100!

I just can't leave stuff alone... I'm sure 60 gigs could last me quite a while, but I like the idea of having plenty of storage available, even though I may not need it right now. I've also got my eye on this Play TV deal... it's not available in the US yet, but I think it would make good use...

    250 GB, 5400 RPM PS3 Hard Drive for $100!

The XPS laptop does take a 2.5" SATA drive, so from that standpoint, yes it will work. You may still want to check the bios thing like the previous post recommended.

    250 GB, 5400 RPM PS3 Hard Drive for $100!

I just picked one of these up for my PS3. Can't beat the price and Toshiba makes a decent product. (Despite the whole HD DUD thing.) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3572106&AffiliateID=lw9MynSeamY-fGgCI.M1QiBvvq9eiKdIMw
