I haven't set up my sub yet... nothing more than plugged it in anyway. I think the lack of room treatments and hardwood floors may give me some trouble. I also don't want to rearrange the room around a 13" subwoofer either so... Anyway, thanks for the giveaway.

All is well so far. I really like these speakers, but I need more down low. Again this is 2 channel only so I'm thinking about the Rocket UFW-10. I see they're $600 at AV123.com. Is that pretty typical of what people pay for them? Maybe I'll be patient and wait for someone to offer one used...

Saw Cake at the Crystal Ballroom here in Portland last month. It was simply fabulous. They took FOREVER to come on after the opening set, but made up for it in spades. I think the venue is half the show. Someplace huge like the Rose Garden just isn't intimate like the Crystal.

Just a thought... Seems like there are a lot of questions in the speaker forum about subwoofers. Any thoughts on separating speakers from subs? At what point does that justify a separate forum?

If you're running it to a receiver I'd look for something with a line-out to bypass the iPod amplification. Don't get me wrong. The ipod isn't very well suited to run as part of a HT. I'd rather have something cheap with an upgradable hard drive and a line out.
