Why Your Cat6/5e Network Cable is Slowing You Down: An Interview with Blue Jeans Cable

Great interview/information. I currently have been using 'Cat 6' cable from Monoprice over the past few years. Yes it was very cheap and it appears to be good quality but I truly don't know unless I had it tested professionally. I might make the switch to Blue Jeans Cable Cat 6 cable soon and...

Enter to Win: 10-Outlet Surge Suppressor from Impact Acoustics!

I use a Monster power unit. It supposedly conditions and filters the power for better audio and video quality. I do think it makes a slight difference. Anything that helps filter out noise from audio/video is worth considering.

    Blue Jeans Component Cables

I honestly don't think you can find a better component cable than what Blue Jeans sells. They use very high quality Belden cable and Canare connectors on the ends. I have one and I am very impressed with the build quailty of it. For the price, they simply cannot be beat. As far as an optical...

    Speaker Cable advice

I suggest getting some Sound King 12 Gauge speaker cable from Parts Express dot com. It's not overpriced and the quality is very good. I have some and I am very impressed with it. As far as connectors go, I would go with banana plugs. I would go with the GLS locking banana's. They can be...

    cables for my ht setup

I would have to recommend Blue Jeans Cable. I am very impressed by the quality of the cables that they build. For the money, you can't go wrong with them. I have a component, digital coax, and subwoofer cable from Blue Jeans and I am very happy in the way they perform. As far as the speakers...

Enter to Win: FREE DVIGear 2m SHR HDMI or DVI Cable!

I think that price is a big issue, but performance is just as important. It's worth to pay a little more to have good performance. I don't really care about looks of the cable.

Power Conditioner - Tripp Lite HT10DBS

I was reading in the Audioholics Home Theater System Guide and they recommend the Tripp Lite HT10DBS as a power conditioner/surge suppressor. Is this really a good product to buy? I know the price is good at around $80. Is it better than the Monster conditioners?

    Belden 5000UE or Sound King?

Has anyone ever tried any Carol 12 Gauge speaker wire. I found it at Parts Express. The part number is 100-740. How would this compare to the Sound King or Belden? In the DIY Speaker Cable Face-off, It shows the Carol cable getting a lower rating overall. The Carol cable looks very similar...

    Belden 5000UE or Sound King?

Thanks for the reply. I am not going to be running any of the wire in-wall so that is not a concern. I just wanted a good quality speaker wire at a decent price. Are these two speaker wire choices the best when it comes to being in this price range? I was going to buy the Sound King from...

    Belden 5000UE or Sound King?

I am looking to buy some new speaker cable and I have done a lot of research on speaker cables and have found that the Belden 5000UE (12 Gauge) is very good speaker wire. It also seems many people choose the Sound King (12 Gauge). They are both pretty close when it comes to price. Which one...
