Audioholics 10th Annual State of the CE Union Show at Disney World

All our room block is nearly 70% filled and will likely reach capacity shortly after CEDIA. I suggest booking your hotel rooms now at our special $195/nt rate before they sell out. The hotel informed me additional rooms won't be available since there are 2 larger conventions happening back to...

    Denon AVP-A1HDCI / POA-A1HDCI Review Support Thread

Net Radio Issue All; Tonight net radio was acting up again on my AVP so I tested it on my Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver and it worked just fine. It appears to be a Denon issue and I will ping them again to see what they recommend.

If you're happy with your current calibration, don't mess with it. I really can't make any recommendations without seeing a room layout diagram. This should also be taken to a different thread so we can keep this one on topic relating to the AVP. I am not familiar with the DAG unit but I...

Find out what Sencore device they are using. I have an SP495 in my bag of test tools. Sub position is only predictable in rectangular rooms. Most people don't have a perfect rectangle/square room so the room calculators become somewhat useless as a result. Without good measurement gear...

I am not sure what HAA did other than adjust level and trim and find the right locations for your 2 subs. If they took an average distance of the 2 subs and entered that into the processor than you're probably OK. I assume they level matched the subs individually before dialing in the right...

Why did you use a y-adaptor for your subs? The Denon has a 2SP Mix mode which would allow you independent level/trim controls for each sub while also sending identical content to both. Have you read this article for reference: Multi Subwoofer Connection Guide

I didn't care much for it either until I discovered 24hrs of Pink Floyd in 130k WMA! Thrown into PLIIx Music with 7CH Restorer feature is quite awesome. Is it me or does this AVP really grow on you over time?

Well this afternoon it was all stations. Oddly its working now. Next time it fails I will try Net radio on my Yamaha RX-V2700. Its possible the service was hosed and not Denon related at all. I will put a watch on this issue going forward.

Haha I didn't even realize I did that. Bring on the lawsuit, I will get my friend Kurt at Bluejeans to step in :D In hindsight I should have said "monster sized tower speakers".

All; I am experiencing drop outs for Net Radio with ethernet connection. It loads to 100%, I get music then a few seconds later it drops down. I don't believe my connection is the issue since I am using the same one for internet and it works fine. I tried power cycling my AVP and it made...

    Denon AVR-5308CI AV Receiver Review

It's not really fair to compare as the 5805 was really a one boxed separates solution where as the 5308 is a flagship receiver. That being said the 5308 is still one of the best in its class from our testing.

Too many affordable bookshelf speakers to choose from

Don't ever fall for the fallacy that ID brands always offer better performance and value than brick & mortar brands. This is sometimes far from the truth. Anyone can design a speaker and sell it direct and of course get a fan boy following on the forums. Don't limit your options, try...

    Extraordinary claims

If the enclosure is large enough, the speaker may play down to 28Hz but at what SPL? Loudspeaker manufacturers almost never tell you that. The beak placed on the cabinet is bizzare and IMO if the cabinet was well designed to begin with, why would you need to do that? This reminds me of an...
