Yes you can engage a HPF on the R-N1000 and R-N2000 via the MusicCAST app but ONLY after you run YPAO which is a bit odd that they chose to tie them together even though you can defeat YPAO and still use bass management.

Nope, same speakers for both units. The noisefloor difference is interesting though admittedly my testing isn't as controlled as I'd like it to be. I don't have a quick switcher so I am relying on memory. Both units are level matched during the comparison though. the instaneous ABX testing...
