    Why Bi-wiring Makes No Sense.

Here we go again with made up electrical theory that only some desk jockey working on a Govt superconductor can come up with :D Here is the true math of biwiring: http://www.audioholics.com/education/cables/bi-wiring-part-2-the-cable-conundrum

    True Unbiased Evaluation for AH

Sure its a great idea to go in debt, lose traffic and fire my employees b/c I can't pay their salaries. Then I can dedicate all of my time in attempts to sell B-stock reviewed goods to our readers and various classifieds like Ebay and Audiogon where I can enjoy people trying to embezzle money...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Headphone Review

I was gauging the response of my HD600 review to determine if people really wanted to see us review more headphones before I continued on. So far we've gotten some interest but not a huge turnout. But your request revitalizes me to do more of these type of reviews. As for how they compare...

Planet Waves DIY Home Theater Cable Making Kits

While I am huge fan of Bluejeans cable, the average end user cannot self terminate their own cables and you need expensive crimping tools and know how to do the job right with 1694 and canare connectors.

Onkyo Comes to the Audioholics Store!

That is true, plus they have a huge mailing list. But above all of that, their customer service is #1 in the industry. Heck I sound like a fan boy for our competitor :)

Onkyo Comes to the Audioholics Store!

We can't do that. As with the Audioholics website, we prefer quality over quantity. In the end, better tech support, extended warranties, free shipping, etc will attract a more loyal purchasing customer base. Look at Crutchfield as example which is mostly a retail estore (without extended...

    Flat cable question

Always remember the rule of thumb when you combine two identical gauge cables the effective gauge is 3AWG lower than the single cable solution. So in this case 2 pairs of 15AWG wired together yields an effective gauge of 12AWG.

    Denon Separates Review Delayed

Until I get a second sample, I cannot confirm if the bugs were limited only to a defective sample they initially sent me. I would assume I got a run of bad luck as the unit was essentially non operational. I did find an interesting issue in volume control scaling NOT limited to this pre/pro...

    Denon Separates Review Delayed

Yes I will likely do this. I really like the amp, it sounds fabulous. I haven't even measured it yet but I suspect it will do very well. They sent a 5308CI to Clint and I will bench test it for him in a few weeks. They didn't offer any resolution about the processor, in fact it was like...

    Denon Separates Review Delayed

Friends; I am sorry to inform my review of the new Denon Separates will be delay. I found too many operational bugs with my review sample of the Pre/Pro and had to send it back. I am not sure when I will be receiving a replacement but will update when I have the info. In the meantime, I...

APC AV H15 1.5kVA H Type Power Conditioner Review

Set it to normal. As long as the line doesn't drop below 108Vrms you will be fine. USA Consumer gear is made to work between 108-132Vrms and the H15 will keep you well above 108Vrms if you set it to normal. The analog power input likely has more current capability and low frequency...

APC AV H15 1.5kVA H Type Power Conditioner Review

Actually as far as I know, none of the Monster power products have UL certification. Some of them say they "meet or are designed to UL" but that's not the same thing. In fact, Monster recommends you disconnect their product during a lightening storm

    Blue Jeans Strikes Back

I couldn't have said it better myself. Sadly Obama's views are being distored by Fox news and Limbaugh/Beck conservative comedians that pretend to be factual commentators as well as Hillary who b/c of her ego is destroying any chance the dems have of wining this election. :(

    Blue Jeans Strikes Back

    EMP EF30T Tower Speakers

Fowl; Don't buy a new center channel until you see how your current one performs with the new EMP speakers. If you later decide that you want a more seamless blend across the 3 front speakers, than I would recommend the EMP EF30 which most closely matched the towers tonally. You can always...

    Patricia Barber. What's the deal!?

She is a strange cat to say the least. But the SACD version sounds quite good. I have her entire collection on SACD produced by Premonition Records. You will notice I use these discs as reference material quite often in my reviews.
