I haven't heard of any failures for the Z7 and I've been using one which works flawlessly since I did the original review. They fixed the processing bug I discovered shortly after I published my review but as far as I know there have not been any hardware issues.

This is a sub I just recently found out about that I plan on reviewing next year to compare to the Emo. It looks like it will give the Emo a run for its money! Well it's more expensive than the Emo but you get my drift :) http://svsound.com/products-sub-box-sb12nsd.cfm

The best constructed sub of the bunch is the JL f110 by a mile but its also very pricey. The Emo is built very well as you will see in our review.

I am a bit surprised to see that too, especially since they paid proper attention to orientation of the chokes. I asked Mark to comment since he did the review. Perhaps there are some poly bypass caps we can't see in the photo.

Only 4 subs in this Shootout We found some design issues with the Salk and an amp issue with the RBH sub so neither will be in this shootout. We will review the RBH sub next year as a dedicated review and update the data in the pending shootout with its data and all subs data that we test...
