wow, 8 subs, that must sound amazing..the one sub i just got seems to be straining a lot,and not hitting those ultra deep bass notes, quess its upgrade time sooner than i thought.

wonder what's taking so long for the test results on this, I'm interested also and having put it off till i see results...

thanks man, it was the review and price that inspired me to purchase it..i was saving for a larger sub but now for a next few months at least ill have some deeper bass..although the q900's do pretty well i want my seat to shake a bit on ht.

Congrats Tommy, looks like its an amazing setup..I heard the b&w and liked them alot..that epik looks like it fits in perfectly..I went with some other brit speakers,new Q line from kef..brits have always made great box speakers..

kjohn it was a budget decision..ill upgrade when i can but better to have the emotiva than no sub..

Kev..most on these boards are looking to improve what we have and happy to here people's opinions of how theyre equipment is working..what something may lack or be very good at..saying you'll stick with something regardless of quality seems a totally closed mindset,no offense but your post is...

just bit the bullet on the 12" emotiva..I was considering the vtf 15h or the svs 12",but after reading the review and looking at my budget...

I'd recommend the emotiva amps with the kef new Q series speakers. check them out to compare with the other great advise you've gottan here.

I was intending to get the IQ's as I heard them at a friends. Then I heard kef had a newer line of Q's out. They did a major redesign of the speakers,they are Not the same. The few people I've talked to who've heard both or bought the new Q's rave how much more refined they are than last...

I spent a few weeks researching which reciever to get. Narrowed it down to the marantz 6005 or 7005 and the denon 3311. When I found I could get the 3311 for 779 including shipping I went for it..I've had it now 5 weeks and its really fine..sound for my kef Q's is very good and the picture-video...

I haven't seen any posts here on the new kef Q's. I bought the q700's and q600 a few weeks ago. Once they were broken in I'm amazed at the quality of sound. The detail,lack of harshness and balance are what I usually associate with much more expensive speakers, so I'm a bit suprised not to be...

this sounds like an amazing sub..I was thinking of getting the hsu vtf-15h..but at 1/2 the price im rethinking..

the ML's will take a really good amp that can operate under fluctuating impedence,from 4 to 16 at least...but sonically they are amazing. the b&w are really fine,have u heard the new kef Q's? theyre amazing...

I recently purchased KEF Q900's..They are amazing at the price point and with 8" woofers has very good bass. The clarity and detail is just amazing at this price point.

So who won the " sub shootout"?? I've been waiting for weeks to find out which subs scored well in the shootout, but where are the results? Is this really just a teaser and not goin to happen,its not April 1..Please for xmas give us the results already......
